Comments: A father and daughter are living in a forest park. They are discovered and the City of Portland, Oregon puts them on a Christmas tree farm. The father decides that they must leave. They head north, escaping to Washington State. Will their unusual existance land them in trouble?

This is an interesting film that explores the father's personal troubles--he's a veteran--and his daughter's coming of age. It's based on a novel. Simple and enjoyable. The acting is excellent, too. Recommended.
