Comments: In the near future (2017), a city guy thinks he has the girl of his dreams. The trouble arises when he accidentally ruins his artificial companion. He has projected a lot of emotion onto the robot, so when it cannot be repaired; he is dead set on finding a replacement. The only one seems to be in the off-limits District. Will he find it or find something else?

This is a fun '80s film that has off-road scenes, action, pretty women, and silly one-liners. It doesn't take itself too seriously and, thus, becomes a good film. I enjoyed seeing shots of a "future" Las Vegas. I believe that many scenes were shot in Death Valley. Also, it does a good job of comparing the trite lifestyle of LA with the raw life of the desert.

I've wanted to see this film for quite some time. Unfortunately, it's out-of-print. I should have known to ask a frequent Billsuniverse.com visitor sooner. Thanks, Randy!
