Comments: Twelve Swedish men are trained in England to provide resistance against the Nazi invaders. But the Nazis predict the strike and kill eleven of the men. The twelfth manages to escape. Clinging to his life, he is helped by the sympathetic Norwegians. Soon, he becomes a symbol of resistance to the Nordics. The Germans send their best SS man stationed in the North, who's determined to crush this symbol.

I know what this man went through is incredibly difficult, but does the audience need to see every detail? There are other ways to convey his hardships. With that in mind, this film is really one of survivalism. The Nazi oppression fades when presented with living through a Scandinavian winter, out in the open. That may be why I enjoyed this film so much. Winter, real winter, presents a worthy challenge, but also so much beauty and peace. I believe this film was dubbed into English. I highly recommend it!
