Comments: This film is set before the two previous films. Lara Croft still hasn't accepted that her father is probably dead after seven years of absence. So when she finds his journal, she goes in search of him. What she finds is more than anyone expected.

First, what is the fascination with girl fights? They make me cringe. However, the film quickly leaves this silliness behind and presents exciting puzzles and video-game sequences. There's more, because Lara Croft grows, over the course of the film, from a city tomgirl to the beginnings of the "tomb raider" that we know. Ms. Vikander does an excellent job conveying this changing character. I highly recommend this action film.
