Comments: Thor is up to his usual: vanquishing villains. Upon his return, he finds his mischievous brother masquerading as Odin. Thor sets Loki straight and, together, they retrieve Odin from New York. Odin then dies (?), after warning about Hela's imminent arrival. Will the brothers work together to vanquish the half-goddess of the underworld?

This is enjoyable like the first film and its sequel. But, lately, I read a book of Norse mythology. Hel[a] is not Odin's daughter. She is Loki's daughter, one of three with Angriboda, a giantess. (Hel rules the underworld, where warriors go who didn't fall in battle.) Also, Hel was partially disfigured, not the pretty character portrayed by Cate Blanchett!

There are other diversions from the mythological story line, too. This flick continues the film franchise. Part way through the ending credits is a foreboding scene. What happens to Mjollnir, Thor's hammer, is shocking! There's a short scene after the ending credits, too.
