Comments: A man is thought to have died in Africa. He returns to England when he "hears" his father, who has died. His father left his shipping business entirely to his "dead" son. This upsets the father's daughter and her greedy husband. But, worst of all, the powerful East India Company doesn't want any competition. They will do anything to stop the heir from rebuilding the shipping company.

This unusual TV program delves into the supernatural. The period costume and scenes will be appreciated by those interested in nineteenth century London. I have a feeling that some of the language isn't accurate, though. What really makes this show worthwhile is the references to voodoo and black magic, and the visions that are produced from it. There's also a Deadwood influence in this show.
