Comments: Happy Gilmore's father dies while he's still a boy. But, not before Happy has made up his mind to be a professional ice hockey player. Unfortunately, he lacks the skating skills and can never make the cut. When his grandmother's house is repossessed by the IRS, Happy decides to join a golf league to earn the money to recover her house, because he can hit the ball very far.
This is a textbook example of a light comedy-drama. Also, the main character betters himself and wins the day. It's also an upbeat film, and funnier than I remember! The soundtrack is also excellent. This film also makes golf look exciting.
