Comments: Two cowboys ride into a small town, commenting how dull it seems. One asks after "his girl" at the saloon. Hearing that she's gone, just about driven out of town, he gets a bit out of control. That's really nothing to what happens when the townsfolk learn that a rancher is killed and his cattle stolen. Trouble is shouldn't they wait for the sheriff?

This film is a bit dated but does a great job of portraying mob rules through a lynching. One of the condemned men writes an excellent letter that still retains power today. Recommended.
