Comments: The Soviets have developed a new fighter jet (the MiG-31) that can fly faster and higher than American jets. Of course, it also utilizes stealth technology. One clever innovation is its ability to read the pilot's mind for weapon deployment. Naturally, the American military needs to get this jet to maintain a level playing field. This movie follows that mission.

This film starts slowly by revealing the main character suffers from PTSD acquired as a POW in Vietnam. The film also does a good job of showing the dirty tricks of intelligence agencies. This film also serves as a good reminder of the evils of the Soviet Union. Not until the middle of the film does this movie take shape. This could be the airplane analog to The Hunt for Red October except with fewer big names and special effects. Recommended.
