Comments: A young Englishwoman, who's traveling alone, is knocked out by a mysterious blow to the head and also suffers head stroke. She's befriended by a kind, old Englishwoman. While the young woman is sleeping, the old lady goes missing. Vanished along with her is every trace of her existance. Is the young woman going crazy?

This a modern version of the story upon which the Hitchcock film of the same title is based. I haven't read the original story so I can't say which is more true to the story. This version was good but lacked the continuity and intrigue of the Hitchcock version.
