Comments: A massive Russian convict shows up late one night to contract a private investigator to find the woman he's been writing to, because he has fallen in love with her. The PI grudgingly takes the job because he needs the money and has an understandable fear of the giant's wrath. The search takes a dramatic turn and lands the PI in the hands of the police, in which he relates the story.

First off, there is a scene that begged me to give this film four-fifths of a bowler-hat man because it is a bit too graphic for the need. As I watched the film, I overlooked--or understood--that scene.

That said: this is an unusually well-done action film. The characters are fairly complex and the plot isn't completely predictable. The film uses a sex scene to explain particle physics. While this is not a first, the simplistic explanation wasn't riddled with inaccuracies (at least not that I noticed). And I thought I'd never write this: I wish I was Antonio Banderas so I could have a few "messed-up" scenes with Sienna Guillory!
