Comments: A man, working for the Los Angeles Counter-Terrorism Unit (AKA CTU), discovers a plot to eliminate a black presidential candidate during his campaign tour in LA. Meanwhile, the same CTU agent is dealing with serious problems at home. "This is the longest day of my life."

Season 1: Yes it's bloody and yes I don't care for gore, however I still consider this the best American series of the 2001-2002 season. Sadly, it has been a while since American TV has supplied the world audience with such decent dramatic acting. Hopefully, this is the start of a new age.

Season 2: This season opened with a torture scene and a plethora of characters. And while it has been interesting, the underlying motive force that was so evident during the first season is gone. Also so far there has been several graphic torture scenes. This is really too far and it seems that Fox is only trying to see what it can do before the censors react. The old magic is gone.

On a positive note, the acting is no worse for the wear, Dennis Haysbert, Carlos Bernard, and Xander Berkeley, carry-overs from the first season, are running strong. Elisha Cuthbert's acting is no better and Kiefer Sutherland is continuing what he does best, be the quiet strong man.
