Comments: Recently deceased, Henry Van Cleve descends to Hell and tells Satan his story, and why he should be admitted to the Inferno. Henry's a playboy, who, as a young man was always out late painting the town red--well, "red" for 1880s New York City! But when he meets a particular woman, he changes. His bluff is called, so to speak, when his cousin brings the same woman home to announce their marriage. What will Henry do?

This witty movie started life as a play. The film is fun and well acted and produced. It is a bit dated; however, the theme is timeless.
