Comments: This program follows life in a manor house in Yorkshire after the sinking of the HMS Titanic. The house is thrown into disarray because two heirs are lost on the luxury liner. The program progresses through history showing how the house responds to various stimuli both internal and external. The program is very good. I've only found that the British can deliver such realistic and poignant dramas. This one is no different. Fortunately, the character that Maggie Smith plays (the grandmother) frequently helps to lighten the mood, whether intentionally or inadvertently!
