Comments: A slightly paranoid writer, who loves Wild Turkey and smoking with a cigarette holder, is constantly hungover and poorly dressed. Why does his publisher tolerate him? Evidently, he produces popular articles! This movie follows his life between 1968 and 1972, at least according to his cloudy recollection!
This film may be based on the writer's "twisted tale", as the credits cite it. I don't know. It's just a fun comedy. Here are a few examples of the offbeat humor: Wild Turkey on an intravenous drip in the hospital; texting while driving, pfft!, try typewriting while driving; a judge calling weed "Mary Wanna". There's also some good filming. A particular cool, evening shot of a Chevy One-Fifty waiting at a remote airstrip comes to mind. As for cars, there are several others! I think the production crew may have been enjoying some of the goodies that this film portrays because they misspelled Creedence Clearwater Revival in credits! Funny movie!
