Comments: Fifteen years ago, a woman dies in a Japanese nuclear power station. Her husband is convinced that there was no meltdown, but that a creature of some sort attacked the powerplant. The husband dies shortly after a very large creature emerges from a pod, in that nuclear reactor. His son sees the creature and takes up pursuit with the U.S. military. However, there is another large creature giving chase, too. Will he, Godzilla, create new problems? Is the world, as we know it, doomed?

I like the corny 1998 Godzilla film. This one started out in a similar manner, but becomes more serious as the film progresses. There are some neat aerial shots with lots of naval activity. The story is plausible, too. The effects sure have come a long way in about twenty years! This is another somewhat silly classic that some will love to watch over and over again. I know that I will. Godzilla fights another big monster. What is there not to enjoy?
