Comments: A monster briefly appears in Seoul. Twenty years later, a party girl is thrown out of the New York City apartment that she shares with her boyfriend. She is a writer that has started drinking heavily. She goes back home, to rural New Hampshire. There, she reconnects with a childhood friend. This event opens up long forgotten memories.
This film is about the main character's unresolved past. The Korean monster is just a clever side plot. Still, it's a new idea. Like one that Stephen King would come up with. I would have appreciated more exploration of the two characters' childhood relationship.
