Comments: Gibbons, the handler from xXx, is killed by a falling satellite. Evidently, a bad guy has a machine to fell satellites at will, and on a target. The new NSA--not CIA--handler seeks out Xander Cage to lead the fully-established xXx program against the aggressors.

I really enjoyed the first film. This third film, the real sequel, tries to follow the original formula, but misses by a lot. Yes, it has the corniness down, but that's not enough. For instance, the Xander character is a "lone wolf", and "the NSA" isn't necessarily the enemy: Xander just doesn't like the government. The opening scene of this new film just doesn't have the same impact as the original. Also, I didn't appreciate the abusive re-make of Chicago's "Saturday in the Park". This film could have been much better. Just to be sure, I immediately re-watched the original: it is, of course, so much cooler with less violence. The music is much, much better, too! Enjoy the original, skip this one.
