Comments: An ailing and soon-to-retire captain is given his first submarine back to command. The KGB has a top secret device that will be tested during the cruise. The old captain suspects something contrary to the Soviet best intentions. Is he correct or is his illness confusing his judgement?

This is not The Hunt For Red October; however, it is very exciting and kept me interested throughout. There are some errors like why would a crew member be on the toilet during battle stations? The story builds upon a Cold War secret (i.e. the K-129) allegedly kept by both the American and Russian governments to this day. The captain's character is well developed. The movie was shot entirely in an actual Soviet Foxtrot sub & computer graphics are well employed. Recommended!
