Title (Year): Cloud Atlas (2012) Age: 12 yearsGRS Rating: 3 of 5
Infractions: Blood & vomit Comments: A complex and confusing--at least, at the beginning--web of characters is weaved through time. This film focuses on the concept of reincarnation and how it affects the way individuals live their lives. Common threads of greed and deceit are countered by love and doing what's right. This film is very long, though, enjoyable. It's based on a novel. The style of non-sequential plot reminds me of Slaughterhouse Five, except this film resolves itself. The long, landscape shots are beautifully executed. A small cast portrays most of the characters. Worth watching. |
