Comments: A teenager grew up listening to his grandfather's stories of Miss Peregrine and her peculiar children. So when his loved grandfather calls in a distraught condition, he is concerned. His stepmother drives him to his grandfather's broken-in home, only to find his grandfather mortally injured. His dying request is that the teen warn Miss Peregrine.

This period film, with fantasy mixed in, is great fun. The effects are amazing, as is the acting. The story moves along in a characteristic good-versus-evil format. Tim Burton used a novel as a base. Enjoyable and exciting!
