Comments: It started slowly: a few individuals scattered around the world lost their sense of smell. Then, the epidemic hit the entire population. But people coped and moved on. The other senses became more focused.

A epidemiologist is researching a cure. A chef runs a high-end restaurant near her home. A chance meeting brings them together, and they struggle through the loss of smell. But then another sense is lost. Can it be stopped?

This is a novel idea. Imagine, if you will, one of your senses being removed suddenly. Now, picture "the loss" happening without any reason and isn't caused by your behavior. You'd probably be apprehensive: many would be panicked. So what if this happened on a global scale? This is a true recipe for an apocalypse.

What I really loved about this film is the humanity. The responses are real and understandable. And, dare I say it: I am a bit of a romantic so I felt the plight of the two central characters. If you want a film that will keep you thinking about it for a while, then this is it. It took me a good amount of time time to start enjoying this fantastic, Scottish film. Highly recommended!
