Comments: A small, British colony in Central America has been overrun by stereotypical Latin militarists. The British aren't pleased, especially the conservative Prime Minister. He formulates a plan to regain the territory, in between stopping the fairies and warlocks from casting spells. (Oh, and don't stand against him because he will crucify you!) When the Central-American military leader backs down, the question is will the English Prime Minister step down? Or will the independent agent who has been tasked to kidnap a popular English princess push the P.M. over the line?

This satire is so perfect. It critiques the Falklands War. It pokes fun at the royals. It also captures the ludicrousness of the mid '80s in both U.K. and the U.S. For this film to come out near the climax of the Cold War must have been a real treat. What a film: I laughed so much that I thought I was watching a Peter Sellers film! Highly recommended.
