Title (Year): Then Came Bronson (1969-1970)
Age: 55 years
GRS Rating: 5 of 5
Notable Cast:

Duration: Each episode approximately 45 min
Infractions: None.

Comments: In the pilot movie, Jim Bronson buys back his customized motorcycle from the wife of a friend. His friend commits suicide, which compels Jim to quit his job as a reporter.

He leaves behind his city life on his '69 Harley-Davidson Sportster. Traveling the West, this cool guy, who's almost always compulsively clad in a knitted cap, helps individuals find themselves. All the while, he's looking for his way.

This wholesome, playful drama centers around a lone wanderer and each episode has a good theme. The similarity to Route 66 is obvious; however, this show stands well by itself. It's also a wonderful snapshot of early '70s motorcycling and the West. Recommended.
