Comments: After the annexation of Texas and the resulting war with Mexico, Texans are at war with the remaining Mexicans and Indians. There's one man in particular hates both groups. Meanwhile, a Texas Ranger is sent to investigate scores of bodies appearing in a river near a small border town. He reluctantly brings his lonely wife. They stay in the odd, small town with its unusual leader, the Preacher.

This modern Western is exciting and flirts with the supernatural. It's just a bit too long and graphic.
