Instead, John counts road kills so he can pray for them. This mistake lands them in a small country town. One where the gas pumper is also the front man for the local band, and also supplies the between-scenes narration. This talented attendant directs the twenty-somethings to the only place to stay, a bed and breakfast. So when the B&B owner and his French cook are dead the next morning, fingers point at the newcomers. Alone, John, the Christian, goes to investigate.
What a great little zombie film! Yes, it's graphic and pays homage to The Dukes of Hazzard among other icons; but, deep down this is a straightforward good-versus-evil film. It's clearcut and welcomed. The interludes, sung by Zach Selwyn, add levity, and I found that I looked forward to them, even afterwards! This great little zombie film is worth watching. |
