Comments: A man loses his wife to death. Normally, this event is a very sad occasion. But, in the the near future, it sets off a beacon of "hope". The widower doesn't quite get it. So when the main character's stuffed into a singles hotel with only 45 days to find another wife, he is understandably upset. But, as the rules dictate, he can always tranquilize and capture a few single outsiders to earn a few days. Once he's out of time, he'll be turned into an animal, like his brother, the dog.

This absurd film runs in the quiet British way. The stark decisions of this film aren't common in American society. It's a very different movie.
