Comments: A scout and his half-Indian son lead a company of American fur trappers into the 19th century upper Rocky Mountains. The scout is mauled by a bear, the son is killed by a fellow trapper, and the scout is left for dead.

This movie is based on a novel that is supposed to be based on actual events. Maybe the episode unfolded quicker in real life? I watched half of this film in fast forward. It was better that way, too. I did like the snow scenes and Tom Hardy did well. Otherwise, this film is long, dull, and surprisingly empty!
