Comments: A family is banished from Plymouth Plantations as punishment for the father's pride. They set up a homestead a day's ride away, carving it out of the woods. When the youngest child, an infant, is taken by some unknown agency, the family begins to unravel. Are the legends true of witches living in the wilderness or is a witch living among them?

This film is creepy and graphic. Both get a point across, I guess. What's really marvelous about this film is the costume and sets. They seem very accurate. The story and character development is pretty good, too. The movie sensationalizes a New England fairy tale. Though, it's filmed in Ontario. Worth watching if you're into this sort of thing.
