Comments: Billy the Kid shows up in Doc Holliday's town. As is expected, they don't hit it off, despite Doc's persistence. When Billy is injured, Doc tells his girl to nurse him back to health. She does just that, and they are married. Doc and Billy argue over the woman, but really fight over Red, Doc Holliday's horse.

This is one of the few films directed by Howard Hughes. Yes, the famous aerospace engineer who is portrayed in The Aviator. Hughes even designed a bra specifically for Jane Russell, though she didn't wear it. I'd think that her cleavage and ample bosom in a low-cut blouse was crazy enough for 1943!

The story is good. The humor is a bit silly. Instead of showing sex, the movie shows the faces and fades to black with dramatic music. Not a bad film. Definitely a classic.
