Comments: A young man with powerful psychic and psychokinetic abilities is recruited by a longlost colleague into a secretive university program funded by the federal government (i.e. the taxpayers). The program's goal is to enter dreams and implement a change. (Meanwhile, the president is experiencing nightmares about world war three.) At first, this project seems admirable to the gifted main character until he realizes the power of dream control.

This is an intriguing film. It samples many aspects of modern life without fully committing to any of them. It was produced during the height of the cold war; so, that must have influenced it immensely. At the heart of this film is a struggle between good and evil.
