Title (Year): Django (1966) Age: 58 yearsGRS Rating: 1 of 5
Infractions: Violence & blood. Comments: The film opens with a man dragging a coffin through the rain and mud. After rescuing a woman from Mexican outlaws and vigilante soldiers, he stops in a dying Western town for a meal. There, he kills most of the soldiers, and the Mexicans are welcomed in. The conflict arises when he is not given the money he's promised by the Mexicans. This is a graphic Spaghetti Western. It is probably the most violent Western I have ever seen. The story is pretty good. This quiet do-gooder, which is so popular in Westerns, is simply happy to discharge his weapons. Django Unchained is less graphic. |
