Comments: A man starts receiving messages during his sleep. He claims that they are from an extraterrestrial entity named VALIS. He follows the instructions, which lead him to fortune. The communication threatens to ruin his marriage, but he continues anyway with the hope of correcting the oppressive government for future generations.

This film was a very long time in the making. I had given up hope on it when it was released. The wait was worthwhile. This is an impressive story depicted by common characters with the ideal of effecting dramatic change. I realize this is vague; however, the film will probably mean something different to everybody. It's based on a Philip Dick novel. And if you do get bored, Katheryn Winnick is in it!
