Comments: In the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Tennessee, a young farmer is working his family's rocky land. He's rowdy and crass until he discovers religion. Taking to his new beliefs, he doesn't know what to do when he's drafted into the World-War-I army. This movie follows his saga as he single-handed captures a German machine gun platoon.

This film is based on the man's diary. The acting is excellent, and tells the story well. It is an impressive story. My only complaint is that it is a bit too long. Recommended.
