Comments: At a Munich university, a brother and sister are arrested for allegedly distributing pamphlets with eye-opening real-life accounts of Nazi atrocities. Despite the pamphlets asking for peace, they are interviewed by Gestapo. The movie focuses on the interviews, sentencing, and execution of Sophie Scholl.

Based on actual events, this is a very powerful film. Faced with execution and, potentially, the destruction of her family, this young German student stands with a conscience against the Nazi interrogators. The performances are amazing. One can see what they are thinking, despite having to read subtitles. She was part of the German Resistance movement, the White Rose. Highly recommended.
