Comments: This movie rebuilds The Flying Squad ("the Sweeney") division of the Metropolitan Police (London) for modern audiences. For those unfamiliar, The Sweeney was a group of police that used unorthodox methods to take down or capture violent criminals. The result is an action-packed thrill ride of a gritty story in modern London.

What turned me on to this film was that Top Gear was asked to make the final car chase scene. As presented on Top Gear, they make an obvious flop. In reality the Top Gear crew was responsible for filming the most memorable car chase in the film. Also, I learned from the extras that they actually filmed in Trafalgar Square & St James's Park. I wondered why it looked so real. This is very unusual, if not the first time. The movie also includes some good shots of the East End skyline at night. Highly recommended.
