Comments: An Italian immigrant purchases a rundown two unit house. His idea is to live upstairs with his wife and turn the downstairs into a bar. The problem is a drunk Irish immigrant lives upstairs with his pregnant wife and they won't leave, or pay rent. The baby is born and is half black. The Irish man leaves.

Today this wouldn't be unusual, however, this film is set in the '50s. The film is very well done with believable characters. I believe the movie is based on a true story.
