Comments: A retired law man, attempting to start a new life, buys a herd of cows. While returning home with them, he's hanged by a group of men claiming that he stole the cattle. A U.S. marshall saves his life and takes him to the courthouse for trial by a hanging judge. He's found not guilty and reluctantly accepts employment as a U.S. marshall. The question is can he let the men who tried to hang him go and start a new life with a local woman?
