Comments: A lone wanderer chances on a town that is afraid of strangers. Seemingly only interested in a quiet time, the stranger is confronted with unexpected aggression. The stranger retaliates by killing three men and is promptly begged to be the hero for the town. The town fears that three men, who are just now being released from prison (for killing a marshall), are coming back for revenge.

This is an unusual Western. It couples spiritualism and Christianity in a small fearful town. The result is very impressive.
