Title (Year): High Noon (1952) Age: 72 yearsGRS Rating: 5 of 5
Infractions: None. Comments: A town marshall marries a Quaker and gives up his post out of respect for his new wife. Then, he learns that a mad man--that he had captured in the past--has been pardoned and is heading back to the town for vengeance. After a tough decision he decides to resume his role and protect the town, but he can't get any help from the townsfolk. I admit that I started watching this film just to see Grace Kelly. (What a beauty!) As I watched this film, I liked it more and more. It speaks of the struggle of the individual against the world and an adversary. I found it very enjoyable. |
