Comments: Elizabeth the First, the Virgin Queen, was an influencial leader. During her time Shakespeare prospered, despite being of a different religion. This queen may have overlooked such entertainers but she seemed to tolerate little more and built England into an empire that would later rule the world for hundreds of years.

This TV drama is well executed, especially considering the limited budget. The program reminds me of Doctor Who during the '70s. If you enjoy English history, this program is a must-see.
