Comments: A scientist defects to the US but is injured during the journey. A government laboratory uses miniaturization technology to shrink a submarine to repair the injury inside the man's brain.

In this film they speak of outer space (the real world) and inner space (inside the body). Surely, it's no coincidence that an '80s film about miniaturization was named Innerspace? Curiously, the movie inspired the novel. The movie was based on a story, which was adapted for the screen and later written into a novel by Isaac Asimov. It was an alright book.
