Comments: A important moon in the Klingon Empire is nearly destroyed by overmining, leaving the Klingons vulnerable to attack. They decide to send a chancellor to earth to negotiate peace. Captain Kirk, his officers and crew, and the Enterprise are sent to escort the chancellor's ship to earth. Suddenly, the Klingon's ship is attacked. It appears that the Enterprise is the perpetrator. Will the peace talks fail? Will Kirk and his crew be killed?

This excellent film has strong political ties to Chernobyl and the decline of the Soviet Union. I, also, enjoy the references to Shakespeare. The characters are further developed, which is something I didn't expect after knowing them well for so long. Excellent soundtrack, too. Highly recommended!
