Comments: Imagine that--an Icelander to portray an Icelandic guide in a movie: wonders will never cease! And the scenery looked like what I saw of Iceland. Has American cinema turned a page and stopped portraying southern California as anywhere in the world!

Sarcasm aside, this wasn't a bad movie. Anita Briem plays the part of the rugged Icelandic girl, which probably wasn't too difficult for this well-educated actress. Really the only reason to watch the movie is to watch her. The plot is alright, the acting mediocre, the humor corny, and there are far too many sap sessions. But she looks good.
