Comments: A writer, who reports supposedly frightening places in various books, is jaded. That is until he receives a postcard warning him never to stay in Room 1408 of Dolphin Hotel in New York City. He pushes his publisher to get him an overnight stay in the room. Upon his arrival, the hotel manager tries everything to convince him not to stay in the room. I bet he wishes he had backed out!

There were some parts that were too dramatic but, overall, I really enjoyed this film! The cynical main character comes to terms with his loss by an evil hotel room. A wonderful Stephen King story that makes a great flick. I also enjoyed seeing the Hermosa Beach post office and one of the beaches in the South Bay (Santa Monica or Venice?).
