Comments: A boy meets an old magician on the road one day. Fascinated, he studies magic and learn some tricks that attract the attention of a girl. Eduard is the son of a cabinet maker and Sophie is the daughter of royalty. They want to run away together; however, for obvious reasons, they cannot. He leaves. As adults they meet again. Now called Eisenheim the Illusionist, Eduard recognizes Sophie, who's dating the Prince of Austria.

I really enjoyed this very clever thriller. The setting and props are perfect and the acting wonderful.
