Comments: I hadn't seen this movie since a child. Bob mentioned that he liked the movie, especially the theft of the Enterprise from the Starbase, so I rented it. I found that this film is excellent.

Maybe it's because many modern moviemakers don't put their heart and soul into their work? Maybe this movie summons up old memories? Any way that it works: it works well. The plot is strong enough and the character development is excellent. The loyalty of friends and the total hatred of an enemy is obvious. These intense emotions both seem absent from modern movies, and life. I tend to be a person who displays feelings with little inhibition. So I really enjoyed the honesty and love in this movie.
