Comments: Like many modern horror thrillers this movie doesn't fully explain the minor, but important, details. What is the real significance of the janitor, undead women, and children?

Though this is an improvement over White Noise where Michael Keaton stares at snow on a TV screen while the story of the three ghosts is skipped. Scare movies aren't as frightening unless the "bad guys" are explained. This makes the evil more realistic and more likely to occur; thus invoking more fear in the audience.

I'm told that this movie is based on a computer game and so it doesn't have to make sense by itself. This is wrong: a good movie should always stand on its own, describing what needs to be. Of course that would have made an already long movie even lengthier, but maybe they should have thought about that before producing this film!
