Comments: This film devised the scene and plot sequence that we now know as Bond. The opening gambit (literally in this case) that is now so famous, and usually my favorite scene, is first seen in this film. Dr. No is a wonderful movie but not as Bond as this flick.

Daniela Bianchi isn't Russian but does a good enough job despite being just the beauty queen of Italy. And face it, Bond girls really mustn't be heard just seen.

From Russia With Love is the second 007 film but the first in a long tradition of scene sequencing and plot division. A wonderful film that is perfect today as it was so earnestly devised in the early '60s.
