Comments: First if I had parents as oblivious & violent as those in this movie, I'd hate them more than the daughter did (Anna Paquin). Next, the movie is too disjointed to be continuous and it straddles the lines between gory horror and psychological thriller. Personally I would have been happier learning more about the three mysterious old women (?) in the old photograph, or even more about the ritual.

Not recommended. despite very good acting. The only redeeming part is Anna Paquin's appearance.
